Terms of Service

Effective October 2026 · plain-language draft

These terms govern your use of Lawn Service IQ, Standalone and Cloud. By creating an account or installing the software you agree to them.

1. The service

Lawn Service IQ provides field-service management software — scheduling, dispatch, crew apps, estimates, invoicing, payroll tools, and related features — either as (a) a self-contained application installed on your own computer ("Standalone"), or (b) a hosted service accessed over the internet ("Cloud").

The service is a tool for running your business. It does not perform lawn care, snow removal, or any regulated activity; you remain responsible for your work, your licenses, and your compliance with local law (including chemical application and payroll regulations).

2. Your account

You are responsible for all activity under your accounts, for keeping passwords confidential, and for the accuracy of the data you enter. Each login is for one person — share logins and the audit trail stops meaning anything.

You must be authorized to bind your company to these terms.

3. Your data

Your business data — clients, jobs, financials, employee records — is yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the license needed to operate the service (store, process, display it back to you).

You may export every record type at any time from the Export Center, in standard CSV format, at no charge. We will never hold your data hostage: on cancellation or non-renewal, your data remains accessible for export for a reasonable period and Standalone installs continue to open in read-only mode.

4. Fees and cancellation

Prices are published on the pricing page: a flat rate — never per-employee, never a percentage of your revenue. Cloud subscriptions bill monthly or annually; the Standalone license bills annually.

Cancel in the app at any time. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not refund periods already paid. If we raise prices, existing customers get at least 60 days notice before it applies to them.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the service for anything unlawful, to spam people who aren't your customers, to probe or attack the service or other customers' data, or to misrepresent who you are. Chemical records and customer communications you create are your responsibility.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service — software and networks fail. We publish changes in the in-app changelog and won't materially degrade the product mid-term.

For Cloud accounts we run nightly backups, but you should still export critical data periodically — no backup strategy substitutes for your own.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is" with reasonable care. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost profit, lost business) or for amounts exceeding the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Payroll figures, tax rates, and chemical-compliance records produced by the software are aids — you are responsible for verifying them against your obligations.

8. General

These terms are governed by the law of the state where Lawn Service IQ is organized. Disputes go to the courts there. If a provision is unenforceable the rest stands. These terms, plus the pricing page and privacy policy, are the whole agreement.
