PromptDeck — Teleprompter with Voice-Follow
Publisher: Scott Dengler — Last updated December 2025
PromptDeck collects nothing. It runs entirely on your computer, never connects to the internet on its own, and never sends your scripts, voice, or recordings anywhere. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, and no ads.
The optional voice-follow feature listens to your speech to match the script's scroll position. It uses Windows' built-in offline speech recognition — audio is processed in memory on your device, in real time, and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted. The microphone is only active while a voice-follow prompting session is running.
PromptDeck displays scripts you type or paste and scrolls them for recording. All processing — text layout, scrolling, and voice matching — happens locally on your device. Your scripts stay in the app window and are not saved to disk or sent anywhere unless you copy them yourself.
The app stores a small amount of information on your device only: your license key and email (if you activate Pro). This stays in your own user profile and is never transmitted.
If you buy a Pro key, payment is handled by our payment processor (currently Stripe). They collect the information needed to complete the transaction (such as email and payment details) under their own privacy policy. We receive only your email address, which we use solely to generate and send your license key. We do not store or sell customer lists.
Record, save, or transmit audio — voice matching is real-time only. Upload your scripts or any personal data. Use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs. Require an internet connection or an account.
The app optionally uses the microphone for the Pro voice-follow feature and requests no administrator rights.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL and noted in the app's listing. The core promise will not change: your scripts and your voice stay on your computer.
