HEIC Hero — iPhone Photo Converter

HEIC Hero collects nothing. It runs entirely on your computer, never connects to the internet on its own, and never sends your photos, file names, or conversion results anywhere. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no crash reporting, no telemetry, and no ads.
HEIC Hero reads HEIC/HEIF photo files you choose and converts them to JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF or TIFF using Windows' built-in imaging codec. All processing happens locally on your device. Your photos are never uploaded — the app has no upload code at all.
The app stores a small amount of information on your device only: your license key and email (if you activate Pro). These stay in your own user profile and are never transmitted.
If you buy a Pro key, payment is handled by our payment processor (currently Stripe). They collect the information needed to complete the transaction (such as email and payment details) under their own privacy policy. We receive only your email address, which we use solely to generate and send your license key. We do not store or sell customer lists.
Upload or transmit your photos anywhere — everything stays local. Collect, transmit, or store any personal data for tracking. Use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs. Require an internet connection or an account. Modify your original files — conversions always write new files.
The app needs read access to photos you select and write access to the output folder you choose. It requests no administrator rights and makes no system changes.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at the same URL and noted in the app's listing. The core promise will not change: your photos and your data stay on your computer.
